Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 751 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.
This week we’ve got crossbreed Martha to introduce you to.
She arrived at Dogs Trust after being found as a stray and the charity is now looking for a quiet home for Martha with adopters who are patient and willing to let her come out of her shell and build relationships.
Her ideal home would be in a rural area where there is no pressure to have to go out on walks often, as she can find dog interactions quite stressful.
It is important that Martha has a garden to call her own, especially for the days where she doesn't fancy a walk and can sniff to her hearts content.
She loves people and food, so relationship building won’t take long and training is already going well!
If you would like to find out more about Martha you can visit her page on the Dogs Trust website.
She would like a home where she is the only pet with children aged 16+ who are respectful of her space.
