Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 776 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.
Today we have Ronnie to bring you.
She is a six and a half year old Rottweiler crossbreed who is looking for a quiet home with adopters who can give her all the fuss and attention that she loves.
She could live with older children, who are confident around large breed dogs, but would prefer to live as an only pet in the home.
She is happy to see calm doggy friends when out and about though.
Ronnie is happy to be left for a couple of hours during the day, but would love a home with her adopters around in the beginning to help her settle.
Dogs Trust Newbury said: “She is an affectionate girl who enjoys spending time in the garden before snuggling up on the sofa in the evenings - often upside down!
“Ronnie REALLY loves food which makes training and building relationships quite easy.
“She sometimes engages in play however she would much prefer to receive a fuss from everyone that she meets.”
