Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 783 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
But this week we want to focus on Roo.
She is a two-year-old Lurcher, described by the trust as a “stunning” dog, who has an “incredibly sweet and affectionate nature”.
Roo does needs to be the only dog in the home, but she can have walking friends out and about.
She can also live with older children.
She loves to sniff and explore her surroundings and loves people so much that she can get very attached.
Initially, Roo will struggle to be left at all but with time and training, this could be built up to a couple of hours.
Those currently looking after her said: “Roo is a loving girl who just wants to have a family to spend her time with.”
