Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 822 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.
But luckily for you, today we thought we’d bring you double the cuteness.
So this week we have best friends Darcy and Saul who are looking to be rehomed together.
Darcy – a bouncy one-year-old labradoodle – and Saul – an adorable eight-month-old lurcher – came to Dogs Trust together.
And the trust is looking for a home willing to take them both on together.
They are looking for an active home, with adopters who love to explore and can keep them busy with lots of adventures.
“Darcy is quite young and bouncy, so adopters who are keen to continue her training would be preferable,” the trust said.
“She is a very friendly girl who enjoys socialising with other people and dogs and is quickly making lots of friends around the centre.
“Darcy loves her sniffy walks around our site before snuggling up for a snooze with Saul.”
The pair could live children over eight, who are comfortable with energetic dogs.
Saul is still young so the trust believes he would benefit from further training to help him flourish into a confident dog.
“This sweet boy is full of character and energy and enjoys making new friends around the centre,” they added.
“Saul would benefit from finding adopters who have a keen interest in keeping this boy busy and continuing his training as he is still a young pup.”
