Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 818 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.
This week we’ve got trailhound Willow to introduce you to.
She is a sensitive young lady, looking for a home in a quiet location, with children over the age of 10.
The Trust said that she is full of beans so a home with adopters who are actively involved in her training would be desirable, as she can find the world a little scary.
She would love to have her own secure garden as she can be quite frustrated on lead and will need a space to run around unrestrained.
She is incredibly smart, knows lots of tricks and is eager to learn. This is useful for building a relationship with her.
But the thing Willow loves most in the world is being with her people.
She would need to be the only pet in the home as she just loves being the centre of attention.
Initially she would need her adopters to be around most of the time, time alone could be built up slowly once settled.
If you would like to find out more about Willow you can visit her page on the Dogs Trust website.
