Jack Russell Terry at Dogs Trust looking for home in Newbury
An energetic Jack Russell Terry is looking for his forever home.
The seven-year-old, who is currently at Dogs Trust Newbury, loves zooming around and exploring.
He also loves going on walks.
Terry can be a bit choosy with his four-legged pals but with human friends – once he knows and trusts them – can come out of his shell and makes a lovely companion.
Assistant manager at Dogs Trust Newbury Rhian Grey said: “Terry is a lively little lad who has bundles of energy.
“He is looking for someone who he can spend quality time with and enjoy lots of fuss.
“It can take a little while to earn Terry’s trust, but once he is familiar with you, he’ll be your best friend and your own little shadow.”
He is looking to live in an adult only single household as Dogs Trust says he gets a little jealous when he has to share his favourite person.
Terry could be left for up to four hours on his own, providing this time away was built up slowly.
He can become overwhelmed quickly and has ongoing training to help with his handling and frustration.
Dogs Trust says any new owner should be prepared to continue this training.
Terry could live with another similar-sized dog but he cannot live with cats or small animals.
Terry finds going to the vets scary and Dogs Trust is currently training him to wear a muzzle for vet visits.
