Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust

Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.

Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.

Nationwide, the charity currently has 764 dogs that are looking for a family to join.

And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.

Today we have Benji to bring you.

Benji is a 10-month-old Vizsla crossbreed with a lot of love to give.

He can often be found settled in his kennel, patiently waiting for his family to come along.

Benji loves a ball and to run around with his handlers so would adore a home that can take him on long, adventurous walks.

Dogs Trust said it was looking for a home for him that has time and an interest in continuing his training.

“His new home will also need a private garden and will have no cats or small pets,” it added.

But Benji could potentially live with another calmer dog and older children who can cope with his big, bouncy nature.
