West Berkshire Council closes Thatcham streets for footway resurfacing
West Berkshire Council is closing several Thatcham streets throughout November for footway resurfacing.
The works will be carried out by Volker Highways in conjunction with JPCS as a part of the councils Footway Improvement Programme.
The council has said that information boards will be erected on site and while these works are subject to weather conditions, efforts will be made to complete them as scheduled.
It also said that efforts will be made to maintain access to properties directly adjacent to the repairs, but due to the nature of the work, some inconvenience will be inevitable.
The works will be carried out between 8am and 5pm on the following dates:
Resurfacing works began on Tuesday (November 9) at Bailey Avenue and are expected to end on Monday (November 15).
Loundyes Close works began on Wednesday (November 10) and are expected to end on Wednesday (November 17).
Hartmead Road works will begin on Monday and are also expected to end on Wednesday.
Victor Road works will begin on Tuesday (November 16) and are expected to end the following Monday (November 22).
Works will be carried out on both Bourne Arch and Westfield Crescent from Thursday (November 18) through to November 23 (Tuesday).
Works on Northway are expected to commence on Monday, November 22 and continue through to Wednesday, November 24.
Resurfacing will begin on New Road from November 23 and is due to end on Monday, November 29.
Resurfacing works carried out on Meadway Close and Westfield Road have been completed.
Any revised timings will be updated on information boards.
