Council considers proposed conversion of Grade II-listed Bucklebury barn




A couple has applied for listed building consent to make changes to a historic barn.

Richard and Lisa Beasley have applied to West Berkshire Council to convert a redundant Grade II-listed barn at Hawkridge Farm in Bucklebury, which they have owned since 2022.

They say the barn is no longer suitable or required for agricultural use and has been used for domestic storage for the past 30 years.

The couple proposed to make internal and external changes to turn the barn into a dwelling, including the construction of a carport and footpath diversion.

The council is due to announce its decision on Monday, January 15, 2024.
