West Berkshire Council is flying the Ukrainian flag outside its Market Street offices “in solidarity with the country and its people”.
A council spokesperson said councillors and officers will be invited to wear blue and yellow ribbons at this evening’s council meeting, when councillors will vote on the proposed budgets.
Council chairman Clive Hooker (Con, Downlands) will reaffirm the council’s support during his opening address.
The blue-and-yellow flag was raised by council leader Lynne Doherty (Con, Speen) earlier this morning.
