Thatcham Christmas activities 'enhanced' following financial boost

Christmas fun has been “enhanced” this year as Thatcham Town Council received event funding.

The local authority has received financial backing from the European Regional Development Fund and the Welcome Back Fund.

This has meant that the council can not only come back with its Christmas activities following the pandemic, but with a boost.

On December 11, the town centre saw the return of Christmas activities with musical performances from choirs including Harmony Choir to instrumental Christmas classics courtesy of Cold Ash Brass.

There was also a visit from a famous snow queen on stilts as well as an elf photographer, both from The Enchanted Players Theatre Company.

If you missed out, fear not, they will be back on Saturday for more festive fun.

The free family entertainment ran from 10am to 2pm and is set to return at the same time this weekend (Saturday).
