Thatcham Town Council to host party in Jubilee Sensory Garden for Dementia Action Week

Thatcham Town Council is hosting a free garden party for Dementia Action Week.

The event aims to support and raise awareness for individuals and families affected by dementia.

The setting will be the council’s Jubilee Sensory Garden, which it opened in October 2022.

There will be live music from local musician Sion Wiley.

There will also be the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative piece of artwork designed to highlight our community.

Inside the council chamber, next to the garden, there will be a Creative Mindfulness Workshop, before the party, at 9.30am.

A tour of the Jubilee Sensory Garden with gardener Sally Mitchell will begin at 11am.

And an inspiring talk by Jane Fletcher will be at 12pm on how to record a life’s worth of memories with loved ones.

The party is on May 17 (Friday) between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

More information and free tickets can be found on the town council’s website.
