Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council seeks views on its planning process




North Hampshire residents, businesses and interest groups have been invited to give their views on how they would like to be involved in Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s planning process.

The council is asking for feedback on its draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) which explains how people can get involved in local planning policy, neighbourhood planning and the planning application decision-making process.

The draft document highlights changes within planning legislation and new consultation and engagement methods.

It covers everything from how to get involved in planning applications for house extensions and large-scale housing to business developments or policies on affordable housing.

People have until 4pm on July 21 to have their say on the document.
