Rob Chicken stands down from Hungerford Town Council
HUNGERFORD Town Council has bade farewell to Rob Chicken.
Mr Chicken, who lives in Eddington and was also a long-serving governor at John O'Gaunt School in Hungerford, joined the council in 2015 and was instrumental in many of the improvements and the town's railway station.
He served on the council's highways and transport committee, environment and planning committee and the Christmas lights working party.
While stranded in New Zealand by the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns during a family visit, Mr Chicken never missed a town councill meeting, attending virtually via laptop.
Town mayor Helen Simpson paid tribute to Mr Chicken's work on behalf of the town and residents over the years and added: "Rob has achieved many good things while serving on the town council.
"We will miss him and wish him all the best for the future."
