Councillor Alison Blackborow, the council’s community engagement lead, was thanked for her work keeping Greenham green with the Greener Greenham Group.

Linda Waller was gifted flowers and thanked for her work picking up dog waste around the common.

She has filled 3,000 bags in total so far.

“If you don’t know Linda, she is one in a million that keeps our common clear of dog waste,” said parish clerk, Kim Lloyd, who organised the event.

“If we had more Lindas, we would save a small fortune in our council tax.”
