Countdown to panto

The cast for this year’s Corn Exchange pantomime Cinderella (November 30 to January 6) has been announced. Among the ensemble are a couple of familiar favourites and a host of new faces. Returning to the venue are Joseph Wicks, who played the slimy tyrant Prince John in last year’s Robin Hood. This time he takes up the role of one of the Ugly Sisters – his first dame role. Also returning is Matthew Grace – “What the Bumpkin” you cheer, as he reprises his role of popular dimwit Billy Bumpkin. They are joined by a number of new faces in a refreshed line-up for the Corn Exchange’s festive show. See next week’s Newbury Weekly News for the full lowdown. Tickets £15-£18, with concessions, family tickets, school rates all available. www.cornexchangenew.com
