Court case into 2011 Parkway death on-going at Reading Crown Court
Mark Williams, aged 41, of Nuneham Courtenay, Oxfordshire, died while at work on the construction site in July 2011, after the forklift truck he was driving toppled over.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the emergency services.
Both Parkway developer Costain and contractor Attleys Roofing face four charges of breaching health and safety laws: two counts of failure to conduct a suitable and sufficient risk assessment; one count of failure to ensure health and safety and welfare of an employee at work and one count of exposing others to a risk to health and safety.
Both firms have pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The trial, brought by the Health and Safety Executive, which investigated the incident, began at Reading Crown Court on March 3 and is expected to conclude next week.
