Crafty Craft results are in

AFTER miles of thrills, spills and fun, the results for this year’s Crafty Craft are in!
Hundreds of people enjoyed the sunshine and entertainment in Victoria Park yesterday and cheered on the 30 teams as they crossed the finish line.
In first place in the adult category were family team Lockside – who showed they still had what it takes after a 12 year absence from Crafty Craft.
Speaking to the NewburyToday minutes after receiving the award, team member Jonathan Simon said: “We are thrilled but we remembered just how knackering it was.
“It felt like the whole of Newbury was out to support Crafty Craft. There is no other event like it that combines fun and endurance.”
The prize for best adult craft in keeping with this year’s Brazilian theme went to the imaginatively named Brazilliant Berkshire Youth.
The fastest company craft award went to HMS SOS Vodafone company craft, with tea-tanics – made up of employees from Twinings Tea – coming a close second.
For the third year running, Bart Street Kids were the fastest in the junior craft category, with event stalwarts Kintbury Crafty Crafters coming second.
The prize for best junior craft was awarded to Lions Quest for their colourful creation.
Sporting Brazilians took the honour of fastest pedal team.
