Crash and barrier works caused traffic delays on A34 between Chieveley and East Ilsley

A crash has caused delays on the A34 on the same day as two weeks of roadworks begins.

A vehicle collision has shut the second lane on the A34 northbound, just past East Ilsley, between the junctions with the M4 and the A4130.

The incident is expected to be cleared by 10.15am, with normal traffic conditions restored by 11.30am.

Lane closures on the A34 northbound are also in effect from today (Wednesday) until September 25 for barrier works in both directions from Beedon to Milton.

Motorists are currently facing delays of up to 20 minutes.
