Crash closes one lane of the A34 at Beedon, north of the M4 at Chieveley

UPDATE: 12.20pm – National Highways has confirmed that this incident has now been cleared and all lanes have just reopened.

UPDATE: 11.40am – Threre are some reports that this has now been cleared but the AA claims that recovery is still ongoing.

A crash is causing long queues on the A34 this morning (Monday).

There is one lane closed, southbound, between the Beedon turn off and the M4 at junction 13 for Chieveley.

The AA has reported that there were two vehicles involved in the crash and there is now a fuel spillage on the carriageway.

Delays of up to 30 minutes are being experienced on the southbound carriageway, while traffic is also building up on the northbound side.

The incident is not expected to clear until after 11am today.
