Crash causing long delays on M4 between junction 14 at Hungerford and junction 15 at Swindon

UPDATE, 1.30pm – This incident has now been cleared and traffic is flowing freely again.

A crash is causing long delays on the M4 through part of West Berkshire this morning (Friday).

The incident occurred on the eastbound carriageway between junction 15 at Swindon and junction 14 for Hungerford and one lane is currently closed.

Emergency services and National Highways traffic officers are currently on the scene and there are delays of around one hour to journey times.

There are currently five miles of queuing traffic and National Highways is urging motorists to find an alternative route if possible.

The road is not expected to clear until around 1pm.
