Crash closes all lanes on M4 eastbound between junction 14 Hungerford and junction 13 Newbury





The M4 eastbound between Hungerford and Newbury is fully closed this evening (Saturday).

Traffic England said the reason for the closure is a road traffic accident.

Thames Valley Police called the incident a single vehicle collision.

All three lanes are closed between junction 14 and junction 13.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 11pm and 11.15pm.

A diversion has been put in place.

This incident is being led by Thames Valley Police roads policing team.

Traffic is diverted from junction 14 to junction 13, via the A338 south, A4 east and A34 north.

Traffic England has told drivers to follow the hollow circle symbol.

Thames Valley Police said: “Please avoid the area as the road is likely to be closed for several hours while officers carry out an investigation at the scene.”

There are also delays between junction 15 and junction 14.

There are currently delays of 20 minutes against expected traffic.

The M4 eastbound entry slip at junction 14 is also closed as a result.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 12.15am and 12.03am tomorrow.
