Crash in Lambourn puts man in hospital




A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following the accident in High Street on Saturday

A MAN sustained serious but non threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Lambourn on Saturday (9).

At about 1.06am, a silver Ford Escort was involved in an accident with the 23-year-old pedestrian in High Street.

He was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where he is now in a stable condition.

Investigating officer, Pc Chris Hurst of Thames Valley Police, said: “We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time, several of whom called the ambulance.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened and I am appealing for witnesses to come forward and assist with our investigation.”

A 23-year-old man was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of dangerous driving and was released on bail until May 26 pending further enquiries.
