Road now cleared after earlier crash shut M4 between junction 15 at Swindon and junction 14 for Hungerford

UPDATE: This incident has now been cleared and the road has reopened.

A crash has shut the M4 through part of West Berkshire.

The motorway is currently closed eastbound between junction 15 at Swindon and junction 14 for Hungerford.

Wiltshire Police are currently on the scene.

Queues are building up on approach roads to the closure and on the diversion routes so motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys this afternoon.National Highways has said it doesn't expect the motorway to reopen until at least 3pm.

Diversions are in place and diverted traffic is advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol.
