Customers stuck for hours in IKEA Calcot car park as M4 remains closed
Customers have been stuck in the IKEA car park, in Calcot, for over two hours today (Sunday) as the M4 remains shut.
The M4 eastbound has been closed all day between Junction 12 and Junction 11 for smart motorway works.
The road is expected to reopen at 6am tomorrow (Monday).
There are currently delays between Junction 12 and Junction 13 of one hour against expected traffic.
Normal traffic conditions are expected between 7.30pm and 7.45pm this evening (Sunday).
Some bus services have been cancelled due to the closure.
Reading buses tweeted at 2.37pm today to say: "Yellow 26 from Calcot (IKEA) @ 14.55 cancelled due to road closure, M4, Diversion.
"We apologise for any inconvenience."
IKEA customers have also taken to Twitter to voice their frustration.

"You need to let people leave the car park before allowing more cars to enter.
"People have been sitting in stationary cars on every floor for an hour plus, and still ikea allows more cars to enter?!???"
Some have thanked IKEA staff for their efforts in trying to get customers out of the car park.
