Cyclist sustains minor injuries in Theale collision

Two vehicle collision involving cyclist and a van

A CYCLIST had a relatively lucky escape, after a two-vehicle collision in Theale yesterday (Thurs) evening.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) was called at 8.16pm to the A340 in Theale, at the roundabout with Titchmarsh Lane, following a collision involving a cyclist and a van.

An off-duty member of SCAS staff was first at the scene and remained there together with an off-duty nurse, who also stopped to help, and until the ambulance arrived.

The cyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, in Reading.
