Damage caused to Thatcham kebab van during racial attack





At 2.15am on Saturday (19) in the Broadway two men wearing masks shouted racial abuse at the victim, a 22-year-old-man who was working in the van, and then threw a brick through the serving hatch.
The victim was not hurt but the cooker was damaged.
The two offenders were chased down the side of the Co-op by a 44-year-old-man who was a customer at the van.
He was tripped up by one of these men causing him to sustain cuts and bruising to his right hand.
The offenders were both white men.
The first man is 6ft, slight build and was wearing a light grey hooded top.
The second man is about 5ft 7ins, stocky build and was wearing a light grey hooded top.
Dc Clare Larkworthy of Newbury police station would also like to speak to three men who were in the vicinity around this time to see if they can assist with enquiries.
The men were all white.
The first man is in his early twenties with black hair which was gelled and spiky on top.
The second man is about 6ft and of a slight build. He was wearing a light grey hooded jacket.
The third man is about 5ft 7ins and of a stocky build. He was wearing a light grey hooded jacket.
