Thatcham dog owner Sophie Wallace-Paxton had danger dog which bit Freya Kirby
A DOG owner is awaiting sentence for having a dangerously out-of-control animal which attacked a woman.
Sophie Wallace-Paxford appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 7.
The 29-year-old, of Mount Road, Thatcham, admitted being the owner of a two-year-old Japanese Akita called Hugo which was dangerously out of control and injured Freya Kirby.
The incident happened in a communal landing area of flats on Mount Road on Wednesday, July 12.
Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports.
They warned Ms Wallace-Paxford, who was legally represented at the hearing by Catherine Brymer, that these would be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including the possibility that she could be sent to Reading Crown Court to be sentenced by a judge on a date to be fixed.
She was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
