Dangerous driver from Newbury crashed and caught in Thatcham




A dangerous driver failed to stop when signalled by police in Thatcham.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man in a Silver Vauxhall Vectra was driving dangerously along Lower Way at around 10.30pm on Thursday, September 19.

He overtook multiple vehicles before crashing into a wall in Church Gate.

The driver, a 29-year-old man from Newbury, sustained injuries and has now been discharged from hospital.

Officers have identified the parties believed to be involved and confirm their investigation is ongoing.

Investigating officer PC William Herrington said: “I am appealing to anybody who was driving on this stretch of road and has dash-cam footage to please check this and get in touch with TVP if it has captured the incident or the moments leading up to it.”
