Death at scene as air ambulance lands in Newbury




Paramedics scrambled to medical episode

A DEATH at the scene was declared after an air ambulance was scrambled to a built-up area of north east Newbury on Monday morning (June 27).

According to South Central Ambualnce Services (SCAS), paramedics including ambulance and rapid response crews, together with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were called at 7.10am to a medical episode, in Turnpike Road.

A person was declared dead at the scene, according to SCAS, who were unable to reveal any further details about the incident, including as to whether the deceased was male, or female.

Sightings of the air ambulance landing were reported on social media at the time.
