The issue is affecting people who called on Monday and Tuesday this week.
A statement released by the force has said it is working on fixing the problem which is expected to be rectified soon.
Emergency 999 calls have not been affected.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police, James Williams, said that 90 per cent of calls are normally answered within 40 seconds, but due to the technical issues this was between 10 to 20 per cent slower on Monday and Tuesday.
He added that all calls were still answered in this period.
