M4 sinkhole: long delays near Hungerford due to ongoing repairs
There are continuing delays along the M4 eastbound near Hungerford, after a sinkhole opened up in the road yesterday.
Traffic is concentrated around the stretch between Junctions 14 and 15, with lane closures still in place.
Delays of over an hour are to be expected, and normal conditions are not expected until between 12.15am and 12.30am tomorrow (Monday).
On Saturday, a sinkhole opened in the road, forcing an intervention by repair workers.
Initial works to reconstruct the road were completed overnight, with further resurfacing underway today.
National Highways East has published images of the sinkhole on Twitter.
UPDATE (15/11/2021, 9.15am): Repairs have now been completed, and normal traffic conditions have resumed.
