Delays on the A34 between the A4 and A303

There are delays on the A34 near Newbury following an incident this morning (Sunday).

The road is partially blocked and there is queueing traffic due to an accident southbound before the B4640.

Traffic heading south from Newbury is being affected, and there are currently delays of around 20 minutes.

Highways England has said that emergency barrier repairs are required, and normal traffic conditions are expected between 1.30pm and 1.45pm.

Congestion northbound, between the A34 and A343 Andover Road (Highclere turn off), is expected to clear between 2pm and 2.15pm.
