Collision on A34 closes lane north of Chieveley M4

A collision has closed one lane of the A34 this afternoon (Wednesday).

One lane of the northbound carriageway is partially blocked following the multi-vehicle incident between the M4 and West Ilsley.

Highways England said that emergency services were recovering four vehicles involved in the collision.

There are currently delays of 42 minutes and 4.6 miles of congestion between Beedon and West Ilsley.

Highways England has said that the incident is expected to clear between 6pm and 6.15pm.

Normal traffic conditions are expected to return between 7pm and 7.15pm.

The incident has now cleared and all lanes are open.
