Delays to rail services due to person hit by train

Shortly after 3:50pm, First Great Western tweeted: "#Hungerford - Reports of a person being hit by a train. Will update with more information as soon as possible."
A spokesman for the firm, James Davis, has since confirmed: "Train services have been affected after a person was hit by a train between Reading and Great Bedwyn.
"This was reported around 3.45pm.
"All lines are currently blocked and trains may be delayed, cancelled at short notice or diverted for the next 90 minutes."
He added: "We are running between Reading and Newbury to take people to and from Newbury races and we will have bus replacements in place between Newbury, Bedwyn and Pewsey by 5pm.
"Long distance services going further, down towards Devon and Cornwall will be diverted via Swindon, adding about half an hour journey time."
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman, James Keating-Wilkes, confirmed at 4:30pm that the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, a double-manned ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were on the scene.
The British Transport Police have yet to confirm any details of the incident.
