Denman to make rare appearance at Betfair Super Saturday today

The legendary horse, formerly dubbed one of the “giants of jump racing” by The Racing Post, will grace the greens once again by leading the horses, which will include favourites to win Long Run and Silviniaco Conti, into the parade ring ahead of the race.
Denman, who retired in December 2011 after incurring an injury, achieved five of his seven victories at the Racecourse Newbury, two of which in the Hennessy Gold Cup.
Managing director for the racecourse and events said: “Our racegoers will be delighted to see Denman at The Racecourse Newbury again.
“He won five of his seven races here and was always so popular.
“I’m sure he’ll be given a very warm welcome on his return.”
