Discover this hidden gem

If you are in the vicinity of Lower Way between tomorrow (Wednesday) and Sunday pop along to the Pineapple Palace gallery and arts café down by the river at Lower Way Farm. It is open this week and next Wednesday to Saturday as part of Open Studios. You will find a peaceful little haven of artists - painters Sarah Burton Sue Diffey and Nuala Whales, potter Sophie Waite, photographer Sara Blessed and sculptor Diana Pattenden - whose work is displayed in the gallery among a delightful collection of, for want of a better word, 'shabby chic' furniture to which Joanna has applied her artistic skill and craft of découpage. Also open on site are Diana's studio and Nuala's framemaking workshop. And when you are all creativity-ed out, enjoy a refreshing cuppa on the river terrace.
