It starts tonight, but people are able to join next week at a reduced rate.

Join the local husband and wife team for this fun, creative hands-on course Printing on Paper. The silkscreen printing technique was made famous by the Pop artists like Andy Warhol and Eduardo Paolozzi and last year was designated a Heritage Craft.

Berkshire Printmakers bring over 10 years teaching experience. They have previously taught workshops at Marlborugh Summer School, Salisbury Museum, Thorngrove School and The Arc, Winchester.

They will bring their huge library of plain, patterned photo screens, squeegees and waterbased inks.

This beginners’ course will take you through:

How to use a squeegee and get good printing results, how to create a print with paper stencils, print with translucent colours and explore experimental printmaking techniques using watercolours, pastels and charcoal to create your orginal art works.

No experience is necessary as you will be taken step by step through the process by the two experience teachers.

All materials are included in the cost of the course.

Bring an art apron.
