All you need to know as disruption expected on the M4, A34, A4 and A339 in the next two weeks due to roadworks
Part of the M4 through West Berkshire is set to be closed in the coming weeks, writes Bethany Sirianni.
Roadworks will cause disruption to other major roads in the area, including the A34, A4 and A339 in the next two weeks.
M4
From August 26 to September 5, the M4 will be closed oernight from 9pm to 6am.
An almost 13-mile stretch of the eastbound carriageway from junction 13 at Cheiveley to junction 12 at Theale will be closed.
There will also be lane closures overnight from September 5 to September 6, from 8pm to 6am.
The sliproad onto the eastbound carriageway at junction 13 and the exit slip road at junction 12 will also be affected by the maintenance work.
A34
The A34 slip road southbound at Highclere will be closed for barrier repairs overnight from September 1 to September 2, from 9pm to 6am.
The A34 slip road will be closed northbound at Tot Hill from September 4 to September 5 overnight for horticulture works.
The A34 will be closed northbound between Chieveley and Chilton from September 5 to September 8 due to resurfacing work.
A total of 12 miles of road will be closed from 10pm to 7am each day.
The carriageway closure is scheduled for resurfacing work.
A339
The A339 Northbound leading to Kings Road Roundabout will have a lane closure on August 26.
From 9.30am to 3.30pm works will be underway to renew a damaged gully cover.
The lane closure may cause disruption to traffic.
A4
Bath Road will be affected by roadworks on September 1 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Multi-way traffic signals will be in place to manage the flow of traffic, but this is likely to cause delays.
The roadworks are taking place in Woolhampton.

Newtown Straight will have a closure in effect from August 26 to September 3.
The closure will be in place each day from 7.30am to 6pm and will therefore restrict access to the A34.

Wantage Road will be closed from the junction of School Road to the junction of Hill Green on August 26.
The road will be closed from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm.
There will be a 32-mile detour in place.
