Disruptions at Newbury Station due to trespassers on railway
UPDATE: The lines have now reopened.
Trespassers on the railway today (Sunday) have been causing disruptions at Newbury Station.
Trains may therefore be delayed for around 25 minutes between Reading and Newbury, Didcot Parkway, and Slough.
The disruptions have meant the power to the overhead electric wires have had to be switched off.
Therefore, no electric trains can run on the affected route.
Trains in the affected area may be cancelled, revised or delayed for around 25 minutes.
An update from National Rail said that the disruptions in the Reading area is now expected to last until 2pm.
The incident was raised at around 10.52am.
Those affected may be compensated for disruptions, providing you keep your ticket and keep a note of your journey.
