Distraction burglary in Hungerford Newtown

Sometime between 12pm and 1pm, a 78-year-old woman received a phone call from a man trying to sell her medical products.
While she was on the phone, a man knocked on the door and the victim let him in while she continued the phone call with the salesman.
The man then asked to use the bathroom and left saying that he needed to move his van.
A short while afterwards the man left and the victim realised that her wallet was missing from her handbag along with £400 in cash.
Anyone with any information or who saw this man in the area in a white van should contact Det Con Jason Watkins from Newbury CID via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
