A SEVEN-year-old DJ has netted a takeaway getaway thanks to TV duo Ant and Dec.

Noah Thorne, who has been entertaining his neighbours with Friday evening sets broadcast directly from his doorstep over lockdown, has won a holiday for his family to the Dominican Republic on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

His sets were meant as a tribute to key workers, and a JustGiving page associated with Noah’s effort has raised nearly £400. The feat was inspired by Sir Captain Tom Moore.

Noah’s mission was highly personal, because he required a lot of hospital treatment as a baby, having been diagnosed with meningitis.

In a recent episode of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – Noah’s favourite TV show – he was announced as the winner of a ‘Takeaway Getaway’.

He and his family will now be travelling to TUI’s luxury Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic next year.

Noah was nominated for the award by his mother Chloe, in honour of his charity DJing activities.

Mrs Thorne said: “Ever since he was young, Noah has always loved music and will listen to and play anything, and that’s what he did every Friday night at 6pm back in March 2020.

“He made everyone on our street smile during what has been a really tough time.

“To ensure he looked the part, his dad made him a DJ booth, equipped with a smoke machine to really wow his audience! He managed to raise almost £400 and we are so proud of him.”

Noah added: “I am so excited to go the Dominican Republic.

“I couldn’t believe I was part of the audience, let alone win. I love playing music and I felt like a real DJ.

“It made me really happy to see everyone enjoying my show on Fridays, and I was able to raise some money for the NHS too, which I am really proud about.”
