Dog of the week

Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Matilda

This week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a loving new home for three-year-old crossbreed Matilda.

Dogs Trust Newbury centre Assistant Manager Jenny Hopkins said: "Matilda is an adorable little fuzzy ball of fluff who loves fuss and cuddles. She is a sweet, special girl looking to be the only pet in a quiet, adult home where she can enjoy endless attention. This wizzy little cuddle monster loves walkies and playtime so would be best suited to an active home."

She added: "Matilda was in a sorry state when she was bought to the centre as a stray but after a warm bath she soon became the happy, affectionate dog we all love. She is a polite, house trained pooch who will make the perfect family pet."

If you think you could offer Matilda the home she so deserves please contact Dogs Trust Newbury on (01488) 658391 or visit them at: Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR.

Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
