Dog of the week

Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Fizz

This week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a loving new home for eight-year-old Lurcher Fizz.

Dogs Trust Newbury centre Assistant Manager Jenny Hopkins said: “Friendly Fizz is a fun, mischievous character who loves to show off with a tennis ball.

“This sweet girl is as bright as a button and always on the move so will need an energetic owner with a strong throw to keep her entertained.

“Fizz would be best suited to a quiet adult home with no other pets.

“This playful pooch could happily spend all day chasing after tennis balls and would make the perfect Wimbledon ball girl!”

She added: “If you are looking for a buddy to play ball or just a loyal friend to curl up on the sofa with Fizz could be the perfect dog for you.

“Given half a chance in a loving home this gentle girl will reward you with years of love, fun and friendship.”

If you would like to meet Fizz, please contact Dogs Trust Newbury on (01488) 658391 or visit them at: Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR.

Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
