Dog of the week
Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Womble
This week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a loving home for one-year-old cross breed Womble.
Dogs Trust Newbury Assistant Manager Jenny Hopkins said: “Womble is a cheeky little dog who loves playing games and true to his name would make a great Wimbledon ball boy. “This energetic little lad would suit active, adult owners who enjoy long walks and who ideally have a garden for him to zoom around.”
She added: “After some basic obedience training, with lots of treats and cuddles, Womble will be responding to commands with ease. He loves meeting new people and making friends so a home with an existing dog would be ideal for him. Anyone willing to give this adorable dog a chance will find themselves with a real trophy.”
If you think Womble is ace please contact Dogs Trust Newbury on (01488) 658391 or visit them at: Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR. Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 18 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
