Dog of the week

Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Monty

This week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a loving new home for three-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Monty.

Dogs Trust Newbury centre Assistant Manager Jenny Hopkins said: "Little Monty is an endearing, special boy who adores playtime and is sure to keep his new owner entertained, especially if there are any tennis balls left around!"

She added: “This sweet lad loves making new friends, whether they have two legs or four and would suit a home with an existing dog who can show him the doggy ropes. "Monty is a sensitive soul who can sometimes become worried by loud noises so needs an understanding owner who shares his passion of long walks in quiet areas.

His gentle nature will make him a loyal, devoted best friend for a very lucky owner."

If you think Monty is the dog for you please contact Dogs Trust Newbury on (01488) 658391 or visit them at: Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR.

Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
