Dog of the week
Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Larry
COULD this loveable lurcher be the missing part of your family?
Dogs Trust Newbury rehoming appeal is hoping to find two-year-old black lurcher Larry a new home to stretch his legs.
Dogs Trust Newbury assistant manager Jenny Hopkins said: “Larry is a very friendly and affectionate little chap who has won over the hearts of the staff at the centre.
“True to his breed he loves his walks and enjoys playing chase games so would suit a family that can accommodate his playful nature. He is good with other dogs and full housetrained.
“He is very alert and is likely to do well with some additional training and perhaps some agility work. Ideally his new home would be with an active family with teenage children and a large secure garden where he can burn off some of his energy and then retire inside to catch up on some sleep in a nice comfy bed.”
If you think you can offer Larry someone to call home please visit Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or call them on (01488) 658391 to arrange to meet him.
Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
