Dog of the week
Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Scamp
THIS week, Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a home for five-year-old terrier cross whippet, Scamp.
The assistant manager at the trust, Jenny Hopkins, said:
“Scamp is a five-year-old terrier cross whippet who has just arrived at the rehoming centre as his owners were unable to continue caring for him.
"He's a happy friendly and affectionate little chap who gets on well with other dogs and absolutely loves his walkies. His playful nature is very evident and he loves playing with his toys and would need an active home that can keep up with his speedy legs.
"Due to his whippet traits he wouldn't suit a home with little fluffy friends, but would love a place with a nice rug in front of the fire where he can curl up and watch the world go by."
If you think you can offer Scamp a new place to call home, please visit Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or telephone (01488) 658391 to arrange to meet him.
Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
