Dog of the week
Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Chokky
THIS week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a home for Chokky.
Dogs Trust Newbury Assistant Manager Jenny Hopkins said: “With a name like Chocolate (or Chokky as he is aptly known) he is unsurprisingly a hit with the ladies!
“This ginger and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier Chokky arrived at the rehoming centre after his owner passed away and is now looking for a new place to call home.
“Despite being 11 years old he is still very fit and active and loves his walks and playing with toys and would suit an adult home where he is the only pet and can enjoy lots of cuddles on the sofa – he's shown a love for this and even has one in his kennel.
“He has some very cute mannerisms and when not enjoying his cuddles he loves enjoying some tea! A very good traveller Chokky loves the car and is as quiet as a mouse. This big softy would sweeten any home and would make a great addition to any lucky family.”
If you think you can offer Chokky a new place to call home, please visit Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or call them on (01488) 658391 to arrange to meet him.
Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
