Dog of the week
Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Hope and Joy
SISTER act Hope and Joy are on the hunt for a new home.
The terrier crosses are approximately 12-18 months and have already made quite an impression on the staff at Dogs Trust Newbury.
Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, said: “This sister act is a lively duo and love to run and play, and can often spend hours chasing each other or playing with their toys.
“They could definitely benefit from some additional training classes and with their endless energy may be well suited for agility. Although they get on well with other dogs when out for walks, they would prefer to be the only pets in the home, so they can enjoy all the attention themselves.”
She added: “True to their breed the girls have buckets of energy and would suit an active family home with a large secure garden in which they can run around or simply enjoy some fresh air.
“Both Hope and Joy are very affectionate and having spent Christmas at the centre they are looking for their new forever homes with a family that can offer them lots of love and cuddles.”
If you think you can offer this lovely duo a new place to call home, please visit Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or call them on (01488) 658391 to arrange to meet them.
